Meet the Envision Team!


Melissa Peterson has been all over the world performing, teaching and choreographing and is thrilled to be the director at Envision Dance Company. She has been privileged to work for some amazing companies including Walt Disney Company as a featured performer, “Ariel, the Little Mermaid” and dancer and Celebrity Cruise Lines as a featured dancer. During her time in Orlando, FL she performed in numerous industrials and stage shows for John

Best Entertainment, Gettings Productions and Mills/James Productions. Melissa was a dancer alongside Ruben Gomez, formerly of Menudo, breakthrough music video “Siempre Manana” as well as the televised ABC Special “Millennium Philadelphia” to ring in 2000. Melissa has choreographer professional stage shows for S2 Management Group Modeling Agency and Vaud-Villities both in Columbus, OH and was assistant choreographer for the Tokyo Disney Audition Tour in 1996. Melissa has also judged and taught master classes for regional and national dance competitions/conventions including Headliners, Chicago Dance Connection, Spotlight Events and Fabulous Talent.

Although Melissa loved performing, her true passion comes alive when she is teaching dance. She began teaching at the young age of 16 and has worked with hundreds of dancers across the country, many who have continued studying dance in college or have danced professionally for Broadway, cruise ships, Disney World and Disneyland, Universal Studios and various NFL and NBA dance teams. It fulfills her to witness her students achieve their goals along the way whether it be mastering a step, receiving an accolade at a competition, being accepted into college or getting that first professional dance job. She looks forward to continuing this tradition with dancers at Envision. Melissa holds a Bachelors in Arts, Sociology, from College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts. In addition to teaching dance, Melissa enjoys traveling, playing tennis and spending time with friends and family.

Cheryl Leahy

Cheryl Leahy has studied acrobatics, tumbling, jazz, tap, ballet, drama and voice from various instructors . She was a professional acrobatic/contortionist for over 10 yrs where she appeared on NBC as well as other telethons & television shows.  She has been teaching for over 30 years at a variety of locations in the northwest suburbs including 10+ years of having her own Competitive Dance & Tumbling Teams. Cheryl also is a certified group ex instructor & certified in Zumba & WerQ for adults & children.  She is a mom of 2 daughters, working part time as a nanny.  She adds a new approach to her classes from her variety of experiences.

Kelli has been teaching dance to various ages of kids for the last 23 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Indiana State University while also studying dance.  Kelli was a featured performer with Brass Theater (featuring the Canadian Brass) for four years traveling throughout the United States and Canada.  She has performed at world renowned places such as Lincoln Center in New York, Tanglewood in Massachusetts and the Hollywood Bowl in California. Kelli has also taught middle school and high school dance teams as well as color guards that have won state championships and garnered national recognition as well.  Kelli believes in developing basic dance skills, movement quality and strong work ethic through positive motivation while fostering the growth of individual students and their personalities. Kelli is excited to begin her second season at Envision Dance Company as a full faculty member and company choreographer.


Brianna grew up as a competitive dancer in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She has trained in all styles of dance from a young age.  Brianna has had the opportunity to perform on TV shows, award shows, and industry events, some of which include America's Got Talent, Capezio Ace Awards, and Nygel Lythgoe's Dizzy Feet Gala. Brianna lived in Los Angeles for 5 years working as a professional dancer while attending college. Along with working with some of LA’s top choreographers, Brianna had the opportunity to dance for Julia Michaels on the Radio Disney Music Awards as well as regularly dance in the a show inside of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. Aside from dancing, Brianna teaches and choreographs for studios throughout the US. Brianna emphasizes the importance of hard work, consistency, and passion that every dancer should instill in their training.


Jacob Frazier started his dance training in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Butler Tech School of the Arts in 2012 and attended Point Park University where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance with a concentration in Modern Dance. While attending Point Park, Jacob has had the privilege of training and performing a variety of works by José Limóne, Lar Lubovitch, Dwight Rhoden, Mark Morris, Brian Enos, Jessica Lange, Douglas Bentz, and served as dance/fight captain for Oklahoma! under the direction of Patrick Cassidy. In 2014 Jacob attended the Indigenous Dance Residency at the Banff Centre. After attending the residency Jacob returned to Banff as a company member with Red Sky in which he performed as a dancer and choreographer in multiple showcases in Banff and Vancouver Canada. Jacob is currently in his fourth season dancing with Giordano Dance Chicago and his third season as a main company member. Since being in the company Jacob has had the opportunity teach for Giordano Dance Chicago’s Jazz Dance Science and Health program. Educating Chicago youth and sharing the art form of dance. Jacob has also had the privilege of choreographing for Giordano on Giordano. This most recent year collaborating with original spoken word by Chelsea Carter. Jacob has taught all over the country including the Big Island, Hawaii. While in Hawaii Jacob was honored to teach for University of Hilo Hawaii as well as perform in multiple shows with Giordano Dance Chicago. Since moving to Chicago in 2016 Jacob has performed in Randy Duncan’s Dance For Life Finale/Opening number. Jacob has performed multiple times on the Pritzker Stage in Milenium Park including Randy Duncan’s choreography for the 10th annual Chicago Dance Festival and Summer Dance with Giordano Dance Chicago. Jacob continues to lead his life with an open heart and open mind by sharing the passion of dance and art with the world. Love, light, and gratitude. 


Jack Halbert began his dance training at the age of five in his hometown of St. Louis, MO. Over the years, he has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, tap, and modern. In 2013, Jack accepted a scholarship to continue his training with the University of Arizona School of Dance. While at the U of A, he was privileged to perform works by Michael Williams, Sam Watson, James Clouser, Sherry Zunker, and Jose Limon. Jack also performed with WATSon dance in Germany and Italy. Since graduating summa cum laude with a B.F.A. in dance in May 2017, Jack moved to Chicago where he is currently a company member of Giordano Dance Chicago after two years in the second company. With the company, he continues his training and has performed at the Harris Theater and Auditorium Theatre. In addition to Giordano performances and training, he has performed in the Ace Awards, the Schaumburg Nutcracker and the Harvest Festival for Contemporary Dance. Jack is very excited to be back at Envision in his third year with the studio!


Kendra Jorstad is currently the artistic director and founder of jorsTAP Chicago, the only all female concert tap dance company in Chicago.  Originally from Newark, IL, Kendra graduated from Point Park University with a BA in Dance Performance and an emphasis in jazz dance. She moved to Chicago and began her career with the Joel Hall Dancers. During that time, she also performed with Rasa Dance Theatre and became an original member of Chicago Tap Theatre. Kendra was the rehearsal director and dancer for Chicago Tap Theatre for nine seasons. She choreographed many pieces for the company as well, receiving critical acclaim.  Performance credits include Dance Chicago, Giordano Jazz Dance World Congress, Chicago Human Rhythm Project, New York Musical Theatre Festival, Lollapalooza (with the Polyphonic Spree), Ravinia, Duets for my Valentine, Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and other Chicago Tap Theatre performances in Chicago, France, Cincinnati, Pennsylvania, and NYC.  Teaching credits include the Omaha Dance Teachers Association workshop, Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, Des Plaines Dance Idol, Wisconsin Dance Masters Workshop, Indiana State Dance Championships, suburban high school orchesis/dance programs, and numerous studios in the Chicagoland area.  She is sought after for her innovative approach to choreography and unique take on technique, incorporating a full body approach where the movement of the upper body sometimes contradicts the lower body-a challenge for many dancers.  After taking many years of yoga to calm her mind and challenge her own body, Kendra became certified to teach kids yoga in Fall of 2018.  She plans to leave her mark on the world by encouraging the future generation to tune into mindfulness and meditation.


Kaela Norwood is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor based out of Chicago, IL. Currently working as a Show Director for Spotlight Dance Cup, and a judge for Precision Arts Challenge. Also dancing for Project Bound Dance and an MFA in Dance and Choreography at University of Wisconsin -Milwaukee.

She began dancing at a very young age and by adolescence was performing with youth companies all throughout the Chicagoland area at Leo's Fashion Shows, Taste of Chicago and many other venues.  In high school she continued her training in dance as well as was member of her high school poms team and Orchesis.

Most recently she has danced for Carnival Cruise Lines. Prior to she spent three seasons with Winifred Haun & Dancers, a season with Simantikos Dance Chicago, and Meraki Dance Company where she also set two works on the company. Before then she was apart of the scholarship program at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Kaela is graduate from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in Dance Performance.  Attending many intensives, and trainee programs Kaela studied styles like ballet, modern, contemporary and jazz intensely from amazing dance professionals like Claire Bataille, Kristina Fluty, Autumn Eckman, Robert Mckee and many more.  

Kaela has set works for University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Kennedy King College, Meraki Dance Company, Jello: Performance Series, several high schools, beauty pageants, galas, and an abundance of local dance studios and competitive students. 

Besides performing and choreographing,  Kaela also possesses a love for teaching and choreographing, she feels grateful to share her passion with others. She continues to teach at many studios throughout the city and suburbs, and working with local high school/collegiate dance teams. She appreciates the discipline and maturity dance has taught her over the years and wants to pass that down to the next generation of young artists at Envision Dance Company.


Sydney began her early dance training at Moore Dance in Iowa under the direction of Nancy Moore Overturff. Additionally, she studied extensively in ballet and pointe at Iowa Ballet Academy in Des Moines for 8 years. Sydney graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor from the School of Information Systems. She received the Ralphie Spirit Award as a junior along with multiple dance scholarships including a Dance Merit Scholarship and Arizona Excellence Scholarship over her 4 years. She has had the privilege of performing a variety of works by Amy Earnst, James Clouser, Melissa Lowe, and Tammy Dyke-Compton. She also performed works by guest choreographers Sherry Zunker, Miguel Perez, and Christopher Wheeldon. 

Since moving to Chicago Sydney has performed in various shows around the city including Simantikos “Celebration of Chicago Arts” and multiple productions of “The Nutcracker”. Sydney is excited to begin her first season with Inaside Chicago Dance. She has worked as a guest teacher and choreographer for studios and dance teams in the Chicago and Des Moines area for seven years. Sydney looks forward to sharing her passion, love, and joy of dance with all dancers!


Ms. Moscicke grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin. She started her training at the age of five at To The Pointe Dance Studio. She continued her training at Milwaukee Ballet School on full scholarship under the direction of Bobby Ball and Rolando Yanes. Her most influential teacher there was Jeanette Makaroff. Ms. Moscicke is a graduate of the Milwaukee Ballet II program and was hired into the Milwaukee Ballet Company in 2005.


In 2009, Ms. Moscicke joined the Joffrey Ballet.  While at the Joffrey, Ms. Moscicke has danced many roles in ballets including William Forsythe's In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated; Gerald Arpino's Viva Vivaldi; Antony Tudor's Lilac Garden; Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake; and Yuri Possokhov's Bells. Ms. Moscicke was also in William Shatner's documentary Gonzo Ballet choreographed by Margo Sappington.  In 2018, Ms. Moscicke retired from the Joffrey Ballet, in Paris, dancing Jerome Robbins’ Glass Pieces. 


 Last year Ms. Moscicke was a master instructor of classical ballet and associate company director at Hinsdale Dance Academy. She has danced and taught master classes across the country. Ms. Moscicke has also created her own dancewear line called MSeam Apparel.  She is enthralled to begin her third season with Envision Dance Company.


Amanda grew up as a competitive dancer in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She has trained in all styles of dance from a young age. Amanda has had the opportunity to perform on TV shows and industry events, some of which include America’s Got Talent, Capezio Ace Awards, and Nigel Lythgoe’s Dizzy Feet Gala. Immediately after high school, she moved to Los Angeles and lived there for two years working as a professional dancer. She is fortunate to work with some of LA’s top choreographers, such as Matt Steffanina, and also appeared in a music video for the K-pop artist, Shin. She regularly danced in the newest show in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. Amanda danced on the University of Minnesota dance team her junior year of college. Aside from dancing, Amanda teaches and choreographs award-winning routines for studios and dance teams throughout the entire Midwest. Amanda emphasizes the importance of hard work, dedication, and passion. She hopes to train, challenge, and inspire dancers to follow their dreams.


Jody  Dombrowski  received  his dance education  from the State University  of New York at Buffalo where he was the resident choreographer for the Zodiaque Dance Company. This choreographer and dancer, performed with such notables as the Zodiaque Dance Company, as principle dancer and choreographer;  the Greater Buffalo Opera Company, as principle dancer;  as well as many televised events. Jody’s love for dance has taken him across the United States, Canada and the Bahamas judging for major competitions and teaching at many conventions and workshops. He has also had the privilege to choreograph for many competitive studios and loves sharing his knowledge and passion for dance to all of his students. His students have won top honors at the regional and national levels of competition. Many are dancing professionally in touring companies, on Broadway, cruise lines, television and movie work throughout the world. He has also been awarded numerous choreography awards for his unique style and creativity.  He has choreographed opening numbers for Dance Masters of America where he is also a member, and opening numbers for many national finals. His skills and knowledge of all forms of dance make him a much sought after judge, teacher and choreographer.  He has also been the guest teacher for Che Force Dance! The Convention Tour! Featuring  Chehon Wespi-Tschopp, winner SYTYCD season 9.


Cassie Dzienny, an Ohio native, choreographed for Season One of the hit show World of Dance with Jennifer Lopez. As a performer, she danced as a Radio City Rockette, in Babes in Toyland at Lincoln Center, as well as commercially in various TV shows and music videos.  She currently resides in Los Angeles and is repped by Go 2 Talent Agency for TV/Film choreography. Cassie travels across the United States and Canada to teach, mentor, and set choreography for young dancers. She is also a trained actor and currently studies at The Howard Fine Studio in LA. She loves to combine elements of acting and storytelling into her choreography. 


A New England native Scott has performed on BROADWAY in six shows as well as three national tours......JEROME ROBBINS BROADWAY, SWING (associate choreographer), 42ND STREET, The TAP DANCE KID, SOPHISTICATED LADIES, THE RED SHOES, AIN'T BROADWAY GRAND, BRIGADOON (Harry Beaton) and Twyla Tharp's MOVIN OUT. 
Television appearances include THE GOLDBERGS, BUNHEADS, THE NEIGHBORS, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, STAR SEARCH (1992 grand dance champions "Boys Back East"), DANCING WITH THE STARS, GLEE, WILL & GRACE, SWINGTOWN, ELLEN, SUDDENLY SUSAN, CINDERELLA, ANNIE, CAROLINE IN THE CITY, ELI STONE, TRACY ULLMAN-live and exposed, TONY BENNETT....AN AMERICAN CLASSIC t.v. Special. Award shows include the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Billboard awards, MTV music awards, VHI fashion awards and the Tony's. 
Scott,who also danced early in his career with the NEW YORK CITY BALLET as well as the BOSTON BALLET has been in over 30 national commercials from NISSAN to OLD NAVY, GAP, DIET COKE, ORAL B and DR. PEPPER to name a few.
He has performed in live concert shows with the iconic CHER at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and was also lucky enough to dance on the stage at RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL in their CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR.
Lately Scott has focused his attention on paying it forward with teaching, choreographing and spreading his love of DANCE in and around this country.
Scott is very proud of the longevity and variety of his dance career and honored to have worked with so many legendary, iconic choreographers of the this century.
Scott is GRATEFUL and gives THANKS to his mentor, dance teacher and Uncle....BILL FOWLER for this life and love of DANCE !!!!

Jacquie Renzetti began dancing at the age of 4 at Denise Sabala Dance Studios where she trained for 9 years and developed her passion for dance. Throughout her High School years, Jacquie was a member of Perseverance Dance Company where she received many regional and national titles such as 2004 LA Dance Magic's Magic Performer, and 2003 & 2004 Miss West Coast Dance Explosion.  She was also the sole recipient for "Excellence in Technique" at the national level among hundreds of dancers her senior year. Immediately out of high school she began dancing professionally with Nick Pupillo (Artistic Director of Visceral Dance Chicago) and Eddy Ocampo (Executive Director of LEVELdance) performing in several dance showcases including Dance Chicago, Chicago House, and "Vibe" in Boston, Massachusetts. Jacquie was showcased as a principle dancer in Value City, The Room Place, and Nokia commercials. For several years Jacquie worked as a dancer/model for Impulse Talent Group and Stage Factor, Inc. where she did freelance performance work for casinos, corporate events, hotels, benefits, and events featuring the Goo Goo Dolls, and Bacon Brothers, to name a few.  In 2008, Jacquie was a season apprentice with River North Dance Chicago under the direction of Frank Chavez and had the privilege of learning works by many nationally renowned choreographers. Jacquie is a sought after master class instructor in the chicagoland area and known for her concentration and detailed instruction on technique in jazz and lyrical. Currently, Jacquie is going into her 13th season as a Co-Director at Dance Xplosion in Addison, Illinois.
